Lawn Tennis

Tennis is one of t6he major attraction of members & children of Different ages. Children are utilizing the service of our clay courts to get themselves trained, for Elite Games of Tennis. To facilities and make this meet to a certain level of standards, maintenance work has been undertaken for all the six courts which is still continuing. We also changed coaches to the aspiration of Trainees. Now, we are observing continuous increase in No. of participants and hope this shall continue its endeavour to achieve better and better standards in days to come eventually achieve its past Glory. Presently all six courts are operational. As one of the long pending request of senior Tennis playing members regarding of lighting of centre court was achieved along with usual maintenance.

Cricket

Cossipore Club maintain Turf at GSF ground during winter with guidance and associating with Cricket Association of Bengal. Number of Division/ League matches was played during October, 2015 to April, 23016. Club also maintain a Cricket Team which participate in CAB 2nd Division Cricket League and this year they could reach upto Quarter Final. Club wish them to join to part of 1st Division League. Apart from this, the traditional Cricket Match between President XI and Vice-0President XI played at the GDF Bi-centenary Ground 2016, won by the President team. A large section of member along with their families enjoyed the match. Special recognition gifts were presented to the curators of the pitch due to whom we could organize various Cricket Matches.

Archery

One of the unique facility is Archery, which is becoming important due to Indian teams achievements in International Level. Fortunately such rare facility though available but only limited few are availing this facility. Though participation is less but achievement of player has been impressive. In state of West Bengal our Archers took Gold, Silver & Bronze medals. Similarly in State Games tournament Cossipore Archery team stood first.

Table Tennis

A new facility by providing two tournament level table with Synthetic surface and lighting has been added with support and guidance of National/ International Level Table Tennis player Shri Vivek Arora. I hope this will bring more participation. I request Members to promote their children to enjoy this facility. Coach facility at nominal rate has been started w.e.f 1st February, 2016.

Badminton

Played regularly throughout the year and became very active after renovation with adequate high intensity lights. This existing Synthetic flooring on pucca floor, now require change and probably 2016-17 will see positive action in this front.

Billiards

Club boasts of Table of year 1734 Model which always attract attention of Billiards fan. This section remained very active throughout the year. Playing conditions inside the Billiards Room remain conducive.

Gym

Gymnasium section boast of cross-Trainer, Cycle, foot massager, fresh set of weightlifting. It was remained active throughout the year and has been pride of the club. Further provision of change has been planned by emerging the current Table Tennis room area of Gymnasium, by shifting Table Tennis arena to Officers mess premises. Same has been partially achieved. In coming days services of trainer is also planned for benefit of all.

Swimming Pool

This is one of most active and hugely utilizes facility by the members and their families. This year we have undertaken renovation and repair work throughout the Swimming pool complex. Change room, Reception, Pump House, renovated with additional facilities. Exhaust fans, Lockers installed. This has eventually presented a satisfactory standard and also resulted in overwhelming request for Membership. The quality and standard of pool has been appreciated by one and all. More than 400 children and members are currently enjoying this facility in 10(ten) different slots/day. At present it is also undergoing renovation by upgrading western side shade, tiles, reception area. Requirement of change room also met. Of course chairs require replacement, which is also in pipeline.

Bar

Bar has been major attraction of club for not only aristocratic member but for all those clove to spend quality evening time, deserved better attention and same was renovated by providing proper ambience. Further improvement will also be done of opinion of members. However, I wish to put on record that we expect sensible and reciprocate response from the Bar users for further improvements, so that more and more members feel comfortable in using this facility. New brands of Hard drinks as well as Beers have been introduced which attracted which attracted very overwhelming responses.

Library

Club has good collection of Novels, Story Books of different languages. In addition, throughout the year Magazines, Periodicals, News Papers, were made available for members. During last year about 100 fresh books were added. Magazines from Finance, Auto Car Computer were also added as opened during last Annual General Body Meeting. System of Placing few Magazines and News papers in large also started. Library needs more guidance from Members.

Cards

Bridge/Cards tem had been really punctual throughout their sincere and regular presence has added dimensions to club activities.
